Question: ABS, service engine, cruise lights on
I changed out the front axel on my 2005 Outback. I used an aftermarked axel. No service lights were on before I changed the axel. All lights were on immediately. Motor now idles roughly, gas mileage is down from 32 to 22 mpg over the road, I changed out the aftermarket for a used shaft after other parts stores and Subaru dealer claim there is no rebuilt shaft for the 05. I've been told it sounds like the toner ring is not on the shaft. I did change out the vehicle speed sensor (assuming it was bad). I've been told it's the wheel bearing since when tested, all 3 wheels register fine, but the front right does not register. Is there a toner ring on the 05 or is the "toner ring" acutally built into the wheel bearing? Would replacing the wheel bearing fix my problem?
